PikoShield does not sell personal information, browsing history, device bandwidth, or residential IP access. We process only the limited information needed to provide, secure, support, and account for the service.
1. Who operates PikoShield
PikoShield is the service operator and data controller for the PikoShield Android app, website, licensing service, and support operations. Privacy questions and eligible data requests can be submitted through our official Support Center.
2. Information we process
We may process an installation identifier, device label and model, app version, language and app preferences, license and plan status, authorized-device records, cumulative upload and download totals, selected server, connection timestamps and totals, diagnostic results, app-message receipts, IP address visible to our web and API infrastructure, and security events such as failed authentication or blocked administrative actions.
3. VPN traffic and activity logs
Your traffic must pass through the VPN server you select to provide connectivity. PikoShield is not designed to store browsing history, DNS-query history, message contents, files, or the content of your communications. We do not inspect traffic for advertising profiles. Infrastructure providers may process short-lived technical network data needed to route traffic, prevent abuse, and protect their systems.
4. Why we process information
We use limited service data to activate and validate licenses, enforce duration, data and device limits, maintain VPN connections, show usage and device information, deliver service notices, investigate failures, prevent fraud and abuse, secure administrative access, comply with applicable obligations, and improve reliability. We do not use solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Retention
License and device records are kept while a license is active and for a limited period afterward when needed for renewal, fraud prevention, support, accounting, or legal obligations. Security and administrative audit records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for operational security. Temporary connection diagnostics are not intended to become browsing records. Backup copies expire under the service backup-retention schedule.
6. Service providers and international processing
We use hosting, content-delivery, database, network, domain, and security providers to operate PikoShield. Those providers process data only for their service role and may operate in countries different from yours. We do not use bandwidth-sharing or residential-proxy monetization. If advertising or optional analytics is introduced, we will disclose the provider, purpose, choices, and any consent required before activation.
7. Security
We use encrypted HTTPS control traffic, restricted administrative access, device-bound licensing, validated input, rate limits, security event records, signed Android releases, and verified backups. No system is risk-free; users should install only APKs published through the official PikoShield download page and verify the stated checksum when possible.
8. Your choices and rights
You can disconnect the VPN, remove the locally stored license, manage authorized devices, change optional settings, and dismiss eligible messages. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding eligible personal data, and may complain to your local data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
9. Children
PikoShield is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information should contact Support.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this website, and the effective date above will be updated.
